Art Residency 2024
The 2024 IDA residency will welcome 6 artists from July 29 to August 12, 2024, at the Ebbio estate in Tuscany, Italy.
The art residency program aims to provide artists with a nurturing and supportive environment to explore and expand their artistic practice.
The theme of the 2024 Residency is "Seeds Grow".
It focuses on the idea of pushing boundaries, embracing experimentation, and fostering personal and artistic development.
During the residency, artists will have the opportunity to delve into various aspects of growth, both personally and artistically. They will have the chance to engage with fellow artists, exchange ideas, and learn from one another's experiences.
The IDA art residency is an opportunity for artists to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and artistic development.
The works produced as part of the residency allow artists to raise questions, present discoveries and research outside their usual cultural scope.

Location
Ebbio is a restored 13th century farmhouse focusing on community living, mainly hosting workshops, retreats and trainings. A 7 hectar oasis of cultivated land nestled in an evergreen oack forest: olive grove, lavender fields, wineyard, and starring the organic garden overflowing the estate’s tables with it’s own bounties.
-
Program
The residency program offers each artist private accommodation and meals throughout the residency.
An outdoor production space will be available for the artists.
The program covers production costs, up to €1,000 per artist.
The program offers the possibility of meeting local players and visiting cultural sites.
The program does not cover travel costs. As the farm is located in a rural area, residents are strongly encouraged to pay for local transport by hiring a car for the duration of their stay.

Conditions
Each resident agrees to donate one or more of his or her works. These may be works created during the residency or in the month following the residency. Each of these donations will enrich the private collection of IDA or Ebbio.
All participation is welcome, no compensation is required. Artists wishing to leave a trace of their research on the site of the residency are also invited to do so.
In order to leave a common written trace of the artists, a guest book reserved for the artists in residence is available.
The artist agrees to provide a photo portrait that will be used to promote his or her work on social networks and on the website.
A partner or child can accompany residents for short stays or the entire duration of the residency. The extra person's living expenses and meals are their own responsibility.
